FIRST is all about innovation, and to spread the ideas of FIRST robotics throughout the world, Dean Kamen, founder of FIRST, gives students part of FIRST Robotics teams each year homework which truly embodies the spirit of FIRST.

This year, Dean Kamen wants FIRST to become a household name, he advises current FIRST Team members to keep in touch with alumni, and also encourages members to nominate student superstars for the "Dean's List."

What We Have Done

FIRST FRC Team 1980 has been reaching out to it's alumni through Facebook for quite some time, we have always encouraged fellow Aberdeen High School students to join the team, and by doing this, we have spread the word of FIRST in the Harford County Area. By reaching out to younger children at events at Barnes and Nobles, we have also made an active effort to making sure that FIRST becomes a growing foundation. The Brigade is extremely dedicated to following the FIRST motto of "Gracious Professionalism."
